Host?
Assist with welcome and
volunteer sign in coordination, collect volunteer forms, make name tags,
bring coffee/refreshments and act as host/hostess, provide help as
needed.
At the
ReStore?
Perform retail duties
assigned by the ReStore Manager, assist with customer service and store
operations as needed.
In Project
Management?
Assist Volunteer Coordinator with developing new
projects, implementing project plans, planning resource needs, managing
tasks, leading teams, etc.
Volunteer
Speaker Team?
Give talks at businesses, church, community
groups/events on behalf of Coastal Habitat for Humanity. Recruit
volunteers, solicit donations and share the Habitat message with small
and large groups.
Youth
Programs?
Assist with the start up and ongoing development of
projects for younger volunteers. Provide input, leadership and
coordination of new programs focused on teens and younger
adults/children.
Campus
Chapter Advisor?
Become a mentor, liaison for our Habitat High
School Campus Chapters, meeting monthly with an assigned group to assist
them in planning and executing their projects, fundraisers and
recruiting efforts.
A Brush
With Kindness Program?
Work with a team of volunteers assigned to do
exterior house painting, landscaping and minor repairs on existing homes
that have fallen into disrepair because the homeowner is
elderly/disabled or unable to maintain their residence on their own.
ABWK
Project Team Leader?
Assist ABWK Steering Committee by providing
expertise, leadership and coordination of a team of volunteers assigned
to work on a specific qualifying house. Assess the scope of the work
required, meet with the homeowner to schedule work and lead the team of
volunteers the day of the project.
Corporate/Business Donation Solicitation?
Assist with Fundraising by contacting local
businesses and organizations in our area and request support through
financial contributions, gifts in kind, or other volunteer support.
Community
Outreach Advocacy?
Assist with Coastal Habitat efforts to reach out to
community leaders and members and educate the public about our mission
and ways in which they can become involved.
Marketing/Public Relations?
Develop ways in which Coastal Habitat can
effectively market ourselves and our message, assist with development of
communications, multi media advertising ideas and projects to motivate
the public to act on our behalf. Publicize our achievements and
successes.
Special
Events/Special Projects?
Develop, coordinate and implement special events
and one time projects put on for the purpose of raising funds,
recruiting volunteers or supporting our ongoing programs.
