Current Home Builds

Pre-construction activities are being finalized and plans are being made for the Groundbreaking ceremony for two new houses that we will be building simultaneously in Asbury Park as part of Operation Westside.

Homesites are located off of Springwood Avenue.

We hope to start work on the foundation in the next couple of weeks and if the weather holds out, we should be looking for volunteers to help us shortly thereafter.  Volunteers will be notified when we are ready to resume building via our Email Group, so be sure you are signed up.

No experience is required, as training and supervision will be provided. Sign up today to be a Coastal Habitat for Humanity volunteer by completing our online Skills and Interest form.

A Brush With Kindness

In addition to new home construction, we also have an ongoing program called "A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS" which is focused on the exterior painting and minor repairs of existing homes that have fallen into disrepair due to the inability of elderly or disabled homeowners to keep up with the maintenance of their homes. Projects are short term, scheduled for one weekend and are ideal for groups, or individuals who are interested in painting, lot clean up and minor exterior home fix up projects.

We are actively looking for volunteers who would like to be trained to become an  ABWK Team Leader. The Team Leader will assist the ABWK Steering Committee by providing expertise, leadership and coordination of a team of volunteers assigned to work on a specific qualifying house. They also assess the scope of the work required, meet with the homeowner to schedule work and lead the team of volunteers the day of the project.

The ABWK program is starting up for the 2010 season and anyone interested in getting involved should call the main office number:
