Current Home Builds

Our new home construction project, Operation Westside, in Asbury Park is well underway. We have completed our first house at 36 Borden Avenue and we are working on our second house for Operation Westside, just a few doors down the street at 16 Borden Avenue. These are the first of four homes to be built off of Springwood Avenue by Coastal Habitat for Humanity. We are partnering with Affordable Housing Alliance and Interfaith Neighbors to construct a total of 30 affordable housing units in Asbury Park. Click here to view all construction photos.

A Brush With Kindness

In addition to new home construction, we also have an ongoing program called "A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS" which is focused on the exterior painting and minor repairs of existing homes that have fallen into disrepair due to the inability of elderly or disabled homeowners to keep up with the maintenance of their homes. Projects are short term, scheduled for one weekend and are ideal for groups, or individuals who are interested in painting, lot clean up and minor exterior home fix up projects.

We are actively looking for volunteers who would like to be trained to become an  ABWK Team Leader. The Team Leader will assist the ABWK Steering Committee by providing expertise, leadership and coordination of a team of volunteers assigned to work on a specific qualifying house. They also assess the scope of the work required, meet with the homeowner to schedule work and lead the team of volunteers the day of the project.

Anyone interested in getting involved in The ABWK program should call the main office number:
