Thanks to a generous $125,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation, employees and agents of Allstate New Jersey donated hundreds of volunteer hours to help repair 10 homes in Coastal Monmouth County over the past few months.

Every week, new volunteer faces came to one of our partner homeowner’s properties – always hungry to work hard and make a big impact.  Many Allstate employees became Coastal Habitat’s friends.  The faces became familiar and some joined us at a Blue Claws game, after hours.

Wednesday, we organized a thank you celebration for more than 100 Allstate New Jersey volunteers where everyone was awarded a certificate of appreciation as well as an acknowledgement letter from Governor Christie.  The impact the Allstate teams made on Manasquan will be felt for generations.

"I identified with the families we helped.  The entire experience was humbling," said an Allstate New Jersey volunteer.  "My father taught me to give back when I was a child.  I am going to come back to volunteer on my own with my son so when he is older, he can drive by this home in Manasquan and say to his children ‘I helped when help was needed.’  Volunteering like this with Coastal Habitat enriches your life."
