Coastal Habitat is preparing to help those affected by the hurricane - Will you join us?

A note from Maureen Mulligan
Monday, November 19, 2012

Greetings!  I hope this note finds you well.  I am sure that you, like me, are ever so grateful to have survived the storms relatively unscathed.  We are indeed among the lucky ones!!! Thousands and thousands of our neighbors were not so lucky.  As you know some are still without power, some are without gas and many have completely lost their homes and are now searching for answers:  when will they be able to return to their home, how do they begin the rebuilding process, where will they live temporarily, who will help them repair or rebuild and when, if ever, will things return to normal?
While Coastal Habitat for Humanity can not answer all their questions we can surely assist with some of them.  We are gearing up for the rebuilding, renewal and rebirth of the Jersey Shore.  We have many willing hands, the building know how and the desire to move swiftly.  All we need are the financial resources to assist us in this huge undertaking.
During this Thanksgiving season I am begging you to reach out like never before to assist our neighbors.  They need all of us to do our part so that together we can bring back the wonderful energy, thriving neighborhoods, and natural beauty of the Jersey shore.
Can you please help us?  Every dollar makes a difference and one of our key Corporate Partners, Salesforce.com, has agreed to match up to $20,000 of donations received to help our rebuilding effort.  There are several ways to make a donation……
Please support our Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative with a tax-deductible donation of $20, $50, $100 or $1000 by clicking here.  Please click on the link or mail a check to the address below to contribute to our efforts today.  http://www.coastalhabitat.org/donate. If it is more convenient, you can drop off a check at our resale store, the ReStore (917 Third Avenue, Asbury Park). We also accept donations of cars, boats, RV’s, etc. (even if damaged by the storm).  Please call 877-277-4344 or visit carsforhomes.org.  Every dollar impacts your local community.
I wish each and every one of you a Thanksgiving filled with warm memories, gentle joys, blessings in abundance and a happy heart.

God bless!
