Coastal Habitat has launched a new and exciting fundraising effort. We have created procedures to conduct house demolition sales. From what we see, this is a win/win/win situation. When a homeowner decides to demolish a house or to do a really major renovation, CHFH will offer to conduct a one-day sale on the premises if we determine there are sufficient potential sale items. We will sell anything the homeowner does not want, and that someone else will buy, including windows, doors, electric and plumbing fixtures, appliances, cabinets, woodwork, shrubs, decking, furnishings, etc. Habitat will keep the proceeds, the items sold won’t end up in landfill, and the homeowner may qualify for a tax deduction.
