Demolition Sale Ground Rules

This house has been GENEROUSLY donated to us for a one day sale. Everything is for sale unless otherwise marked. Including flooring, doors, siding etc. Volunteers are working the sale and all proceeds benefit Coastal Habitat for Humanity and the building fund.

Ground Rules for the Sale:

Please get a number when you arrive. Numbers will be honored for the first 20 minutes of the sale. Buyers typically line up earlier than the advertised start time. If 2 or more buyers want the same item, the lower number in line is the buyer. After 20 minutes, the numbers are no longer honored. If 2 or more individuals simultaneously want to buy the same item, an informal auction is held.

Everything is sold “As Is”. To the best of our knowledge, items such as appliances are in working order (unless otherwise marked) but we cannot guarantee that.

An item is not sold until it is paid for and a receipt is given. A colored Sold sticker is placed on the item by a volunteer and a receipt is given for that item. If you are interested in several items throughout the house, please have a volunteer tag those items with you when paid for.

We accept personal checks made out to CHFH with ID and cash, but no credit cards.

All utilities are shut off including gas, electric and water. Freon is drained from old A/C units.
Prices for most items are clearly marked. See volunteer team leader if not priced.

All purchases must be removed by the end of the sale day. Please ask what time that is on this particular day. Buyers need their own tools etc. (insurance does not allow us to provide these things or to physically help in removal of items)

NO ONE IS PERMITTED TO BE ON THE PREMISES BEFORE OR AFTER OUR SALE. ANYONE WHO COMES EARLY OR REMAINS IS TRESPASSING.

Occasionally a sale must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. An email will be sent and nothing can be removed from the home or premises. This would be considered theft and trespassing.

Future sales are advertised in local papers, on our website at www.coastalhabitat.org and through email list. Please sign up for future sales and to volunteer on our sign-up sheet.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND ENJOY THE SALE!
